The Future is Fantastic

...at least, if yours is anything like ours. First, you will lawfully recover Louisa's lost travel wallet (after failing to recover it in a break-in). Then, you will drive to a gorgeous peninsula on the eastern coast and go for a hike to a lookout over the pacific, only to return to one of the most amazing campistes you've ever seen, overlooking a stoney bay, in a place called Stoney Bay. You'll see more stars that night than you ever have, and the next day you'll drive south and be lucky enough to spot an airshow and stop at Hot Water Beach, where thermal springs heat the sand just inches down from the surface to near unbearable temperatures. You'll end your day with a drive to Rotarua, where sulfur springs heat the water and flavor the air with the sweet sulfur smell of rotten eggs. A dip in a hot thermal bath and a post to the blog, and your day will be complete.

In our future: a volcanic park, Lake Taupo, and the Tongariro Alpine Crossing (supposedly the best one day trek in teh world!)...oh, and hopefully a computer that can handle uploading pictures!
